ABOUT THIS TERRITORY
The stunning Arusha National Park is Tanzania's most accessible safari destination, located just 45 minutes from Arusha City and 50 kilometres from Kilimanjaro International Airport. Covering 552 square kilometres, the park encompasses the volcanic cone of Mount Meru — at 4,566 metres, Tanzania's second highest mountain — alongside the Ngurdoto Crater and the beautiful Momella Lakes. Arusha is the only park in northern Tanzania where black and white colobus monkeys are easily spotted, and its 400+ bird species include legendary flamingo flocks on the Momella Lakes. Canoeing, walking safaris, and game drives all form part of the experience.
