Explore the beautiful Amboseli National Park on this 2 Days Amboseli Flying Safari. Situated on the border between Kenya and Tanzania, Amboseli is the second most popular safari destination in Kenya, covering almost 400 square kilometres and offering a magnificent view of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro — the tallest mountain in Africa. Known as the 'Land of Giants' for its large herds of elephants with impressive tusks, the park is also home to leopards, cheetahs, African wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, lions, crocodiles, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik and over 350 bird species. Since this is a short safari, flying maximises your time exploring the park.
Day 1: Pick up and Fly to Amboseli – Afternoon Game Drive
On landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Wilson Airport for your domestic flight to Amboseli National Park. On landing at Amboseli Airport, your safari driver-guide will meet you and drive you through the savannah plains to your lodge. Check in for lunch and a short rest, then return to the park in the afternoon for a game drive with excellent sightings of lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles and the scenic backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Fly Back to Nairobi
Wake up early for a cup of coffee and head out for a morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. Enjoy sightings of predators returning to their dens after a night of hunting, watch the sunrise over the savannah plains and Mount Kilimanjaro — perfect for photography — and explore Enkongo Narok Swamp, home to hundreds of flamingoes and a variety of waterfowl. The iconic images of elephant herds, towering giraffes, yawning lions, and fleet-footed antelopes will fill your memory cards. After the game drive return to your lodge for a full breakfast, then check out and exit the park with an en-route game drive as you head to Wilson Airport for your domestic flight back to Nairobi. On landing, you will be transferred to your hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
