3 Days Queen Elizabeth Uganda Safari
This short Uganda Wildlife Safari takes you to the most visited national park in Uganda — Queen Elizabeth National Park — popularly known for its diverse wildlife and incredible biodiversity. The park is home to about 90 mammal species including four of the Big Five: lions, leopards, cape buffaloes and elephants, as well as Nile crocodiles and hippos encountered during game drives and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel, you will be met by our driver-guide for a briefing and then embark on a 6-hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way enjoy stopovers at the Equator Crossing in Kayabwe for pictures, and at the tea plantations and Rift Valley Escarpments. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, enjoy a short rest, then in the afternoon go for your first game drive seeing lions, leopards, warthogs and more. Return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Safari
Your day starts early with a cup of coffee, then head out for a morning game drive on different trails of Queen Elizabeth National Park including the remarkable Kasenyi Trail, offering great opportunities to see waterbucks, Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs and various bird species. Return to your lodge for a full breakfast and a short rest before lunch. In the afternoon head out for a Kazinga Channel boat cruise — the natural waterway connecting Lake George to Lake Edward — where you will see hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs and a collection of water birds including herons, malachite kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans along the banks and trees. After this immersive experience, return to your lodge for an evening around the campfire, dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Departure
Filled with memories from the past two days, your safari comes to an end. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge, check out and journey back to Kampala with a stop at the Mpambire Drum Centre to see how drums are made by the locals, enjoy lunch and buy some souvenirs. Proceed to Kampala where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
