Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and, after a short briefing about the safari, embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for pictures and a chance to stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, and in Mbarara for lunch. Continue to Bwindi, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation: Rushaga Haven Lodge. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla habituation experience. A senior ranger from Uganda Wildlife Authority will take you through the rules and regulations; in groups of 4 people you will join researchers, scientists and armed rangers and enter the forest in search of the semi-habituated gorilla family. The experience takes the whole day with four hours spent with the gorillas — collecting samples, learning their individual traits and characteristics, naming them, and observing natural behaviour that standard hour-long treks rarely reveal. Take as many photos and videos as you like. Trek back to park headquarters for an evening of rest and dinner. Accommodation: Rushaga Haven Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park with en-route lunch. Enter the park through the Ishasha Sector, famously known for the rare tree-climbing lions which you may see lounging on tree branches. Other animals include herds of elephants, buffaloes and gazelles. Continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation: Elephant Hab Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4: Game Safari and Boat Safari
Wake up early for breakfast and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park's Kasenyi Plains for a morning game drive — the morning hours are the perfect time to see predators returning from their overnight hunts. Look out for lions, leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, impalas, Uganda kobs and several bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch, then in the afternoon go for a Kazinga Channel boat cruise — the natural waterway connecting Lake George to Lake Edward — enjoying incredible sights of schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles, herds of elephants and buffaloes along the banks, and water birds including herons and the crested crane. Day 5: Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala with an en-route game drive and lunch in Mbarara. On arrival you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination.
